Monday Mumbles

Here are ten random things that are on my mind. They're just ten things in no particular order. And yes, they're late. No grumbling.

1. Holy mother of pearl, I canNOT keep my eyes open. What is wrong with me?

2. I just scored Wee One an allergy consult tomorrow afternoon. Please, doctor, help us get his bumpy body fixed up. They're minuscule little bumps, really not noticeable unless you're dressing him or scanning his skin for weirdnesses, but they're there. They also don't appear to bother HIM...which makes me wonder if I should just let them be? Nah. I need to know what's causing them. It's irking me.

3. Marriage is a weird thing. I find it true that people say "marriage is work" and "marriage isn't easy". But I'd think...at some point...you just get used to one another and it does get easier. And if this were so, then why would couple who are elderly still fight? You know that your partner won't change their mind, they never have...so why even bicker? Just to get the blood pumping? There is a couple that works here, and I always wonder about this whenever she comes to peck at him.

4. I am starting to wonder who really reads my blog because after I made those couple of posts about the lady in the blue pull-over, she wore a different shirt on Thursday, and ANOTHER different shirt on Friday! I was amazed, and a little worried. But the new shirts looked good. Gotta give her that. Today she's back to the pull-over.

5. The Jayhawks are in the Sweet Sixteen. Just needed to make sure you don't forget this point. It makes me happy and helps me look forward to the weekend. As if I needed anymore help with that.

6. My eyes are starting to close. Literally.

7. I pulled out shorts from my closet this weekend to see what fits and what doesn't. I was so excited to fit into a pair, I strutted to the living room and did a spin for Hubs. I said "Look! These are size X!" I twirled again and he said "No they're not." I was feeling sure of myself and pulled out the tag with my rear in his face, and he said "Yeah. Size Y." So I slunk back to the bedroom and found another pair. I mistakenly (I thought this word was spelled mistakingly, but spellcheck put me in my place. I love learning new things.) thought they were size X and tried again. I failed again.

8. Please don't take mumble #7 as a complaint about size Y. I like size Y. The shorts are cute, and size Y is a nice one year post-baby size.

9. No, I will not tell you what size X or Y is. You better not ask.

10. I watched some Sex And The City dvds last night from season one. I do believe I'll be doing this again tonight. I forget how funny this show really was. Thank you, Hubs, for turning me onto it.

- "scanning his skin for weirdnesses:" hahaha

- Maybe your coworker has found out your secret identity?

- So is Syracuse! It's on, tooj.

- And I had to giggle about your short confusion :p

- Then could you tell us what W and Z are? We'll just take it from there.

I love Sex and The City! I watched all of them from beginning to end a couple years ago on DVD, thanks to netflix!

Love the story of your co-worker changing her shirt after you blogged about it...funny!

Hmm, regarding (2), I've always had an ever-so-slight bumpiness that sometimes flares up. It always made my mum worry, and now my wife, but it doesn't bother me either...

...I just felt a sort of common ground with Wee One for a moment...

As for (3), elderly fight 'cos they're old and grumpy. I am a true sage aren't I?!

Holy mother of pearl? You've been watching too much Spongebob Squarepants!

While you've got Wee One at the allergy doctor, maybe he/she could tell you if I have outdoor allergies? LOL

Some days, I'm glad I'm not married.

Who reads your blog? WE read your blog! And don't you forget it! LOL Maybe she was showing off her new tops for the warmer weather?

GO JAYHAWKS!!!!

As long as they aren't size XX or YY, I think you're ok.

I would love to see Sex and the City from the beginning. I might have to borrow them from the library this summer when there's nothing on tv at night.

Good luck with the wee one. You know if you blog at work maybe she peeks onto your computer! Maybe she really values your opinion to validated her self worth! But then, she probably would have thrown out the pull-over.

I agree with Dorkys, tell us what W and Z are and we can figure it out from there.

I've only seen a couple of episodes of S&TC on TBS. I liked what I saw, except for Carrie's hair. It's out of control.

First of all, don't you hate when your hubs is right when you think is not! LOL

Secondly, my closet shrinks my clothes. Really weird phenomena. (sp?)

Well, I'm assuming size X and Y have got to be in the single digit family. Or else you would have said XX or YY...or maybe just threw it out there like I would have and said "Look! It's an XL, not an XXL!!!" Wo-hoo!

Lately, I have noticed that when I go into public I am afraid to say my sons name because I swear that one of these days someone will be "Are you So Not Mom-a-licious?!" I do realize that since I have maybe 2 San Diego readers(of which both are my friends) that this will never happen. I guess I am just fantasizing it will. Oh, that was related to the pull-over lady.

wanna hear something weird? SATC literally got me through the first couple of years post divorce. I watched it every single night.

I've seen the movie 6 times.

I have not seen any of Sex and the City. I may have to watch a few sometime to see what they are all about...

I know how you feel about the rash he has. I always want to know what the heck is causing them too. We were told his shots caused his red rash a few weeks ago. Then, he got RSV right after that, so they said the rash was probably from the RSV not the shots. Sometimes the doctors don't even know...
