Monday Mumbles

Let's see if we can actually get through an entire Mumble list this time.  Sorry for being so absent last week. Work got the better of me and while it's still preoccupying too much of my mental space (what's left of it), I do believe I'm going to go back to "pregnancy mode" where it will just NOT MATTER so much. It is what it is...work...and will be left there.  As easy as that is to do.  Happy Mumbling!

1.  I fear the absence of the NFL package through Directv is going to hinder my ability to brainwash TO.  I need him to be an Oakland Raider football fan, but we live in an area of the country that would rather die than put them on TV.  Without the Directv package, or frequenting local drinking establishments with sports on television, we go Sundays without watching my our favorite team.  He hinted at jumping ship....immediate action will be taken.

2.  I love the Geico commercials. I think they're funny. Especially drill sergeant therapist and little "wee" piggy.

3.  Oh, I also love the Etrade commercials. That kid cracks me up. Especially when he got mad at the dog for not giving a head's up bark.

4.  OJ slept Saturday and Sunday nights without a diaper - and without wetting!!!

5.  Evie was CRANK-EEEEE yesterday.  I'm blaming it on Grandma and Great-Grandma and Great Aunt Mary.  She was with the three of them Saturday evening and I am guessing she was spoiled.  :)

6.  Really?  Work today?  Really?

7.  My Jayhawks lost.  In football.  Again.  But I still enjoyed the nachos!

8.  My Raiders won.  In football.  Again.  Slammed 59 points down on a division rival.  I hope Michelle's team is starting to get nervous!

9.  So remember that haircut I got?  The pixie?  Yeah, it costs a lot to upkeep.  I'll be growing it out.

10.  Speaking of spending money, Costco just got a nice chunk of change from us yesterday. Yea for bulk.

Our Hawks are KILLING me! Probably a good think you got your Turner / Turner picture when you did...you may not have many more opportunities!

Happy Monday! Oh wait, is there such a thing?!

GO OJ!!!

Or wait. DON'T go. :)

potty training is so hard and we're going through it now, so I'm pretty focused on this good news of yours :)

I have to admit, that's the same way I felt about work this morning. REALLY????

And I know what you mean about short haircuts. They're cute and all, but high maintenance. You can't just throw it in a pony and go.

Two cheers for OJ for going diaper-less and not wetting the bed! Three cheers for TO once he becomes a Falcons fan (hee hee)! One and a half cheers for EJ because she's still darn cute even with the crankies...this is going around by the way, Marlie was a major cranky pants all weekend.

p.s. are we going to see pics of the pixie 'do?

1. while we do not share a love for the SAME team, I can totally understand a need to watch your team!

2. Me 2!

3. As I was reading #2, I thought, but those e-trade commercials are hilarious!

4. woo hoo!

5. Poor kid, it's always hard to come back from vacation.

6. I KNOW!

7. My Mountaineers lost too. I did not enjoy nachos.

8. They didn't just win, they killed the Broncos!

9. But it looks so nice on you! (Though I'm not one to talk, I get my haircut about once every 6 months.)

10. It's too bad you also have to pay in bulk. (hehe, sometimes I crack myself up)

I wish we had a Costco near us. Yay for OJ! I totally agree with short haircuts. I got mine cut a few weeks ago and it is not a low maintenance cut. I need low maintenance.

Happy Monday!

So what team is TO threatening to jump to? :)

I can see the headlines now, "Mom Charged with Taking Son to Bars" as you attempt to "brainwash" him ....

Some of the new Geicko ads are leaving me scratching my head!

Costco always pisses me off between July and September. Somewhere in there our membership comes due and a big bill turned into an even larger bill.

But yeah, you can't really do without Costco given the bulk savings.

I need a haircut, too, soon, but I am feeling lazy. I don't really like going to the salon - I find it annoying.

You say football and my eyes just glaze right over. Congrats on OJ's big boy milestone! And I hope your hair stays cute through the growing out process. Happy Monday night :)

P.S. Sorry my comment is all over the place. I really just wanted to stop in and say hello.

Costco should just take a portion of our direct deposit every month and keep a tab for us. I am sure we'd still owe . . .

I need to go digging for a photo of the pixie. I am way behind!!

And really - I know exactly how you feel. Praying Tuesday is much better.

For the record...I think YOUR team better be getting nervous! :) As it stands right now, MY team has the upper hand. So there.

also...LOVE that Geico commercial with drill seargent therapist. Hilarious.

oh I feel ya on the raiders. My hubs has been a die hard fan for 30+ years. We use to have a TV with rabbit ears just so he could watch the black game. He'd put tin foil on them. I made him throw the TV out. I think he stashed it somewhere. He mourns game day when he can't watch them now.
