Good day to you. And you, and you....oh, but not you. You look grumpy. We can't have grumpy people here on Monday!
1. So by pretending I could keep up at Boot Camp, I apparently strained an ab muscle. In actuality, I have NO idea what I did to it, but it hurts. A lot. I'm rethinking this "fake it 'til you make it" theory.
2. My sister "rounded up the troops" and she came up with my dad and brother Sunday to hang out, have lunch, and watch some football. It was great considering my dad BROUGHT the lunch and all I had to do was clean a few dishes.
3. And next weekend? My mom is coming up to hang with the kids while Hubs and I make an escape for a very quick trip to see some friends who recently moved away and are homesick. And I think Hubs is especially in need of some friend time.
4. Does anyone know anything about knuckle popping? I'm tired of hearing Till do it, and I want to explain to him why it's bad. I don't know if it really is bad for him, but I want to tell him it is. Give me a good story.
5. Have I ever told you that Owen has "special speak"? For example, Pancakes are "panpakes". Dominos are "domilos". Lemonade is lemolade. Fat Albert is Fat Alvrick. I love that kid.
6. Whenever he says these things, it reminds me when Turner used to say "strawbabies" for strawberries. Aaahhh.
7. I went to get a hair cut Saturday evening and took Evie. She sat through my wash and cut and style. Literally sat. And watched. Silently. The entire time. I didn't worry about her running around, grabbing things, etc. She was perfect. Perfect. Yummy baby.
8. One teenager in the house, and we are a success. He doesn't understand sagging your pants. If nothing else, we won that battle.
9. I get aggravated with Hubs. He will suggest fun things for us to do, but when it comes time to actually follow through, he changes his mind or at the very least has doubts about it. Stage fright? Social anxiety? Or just laziness? Will a punch in the gut cure it?
10. I can't wait to sit down and read about Dorkys' adventures in Europe. She returned safely, and I bet it was won.der.ful. Jealous!! Right here.

I found two medical articles that talked about patients who had injured their hands from knuckle cracking. One over-stretched his ligaments and dislocated his fingers. Another partially tore the ligament in her thumb.
Its not a good thing -
sorry about your ab injury! That stinks! Fun weekend...both last weekend and this one. Good for you!!
I know absolutely nothing about knuckle-popping. I hate hearing it though.
I love "special speak" Dominic calls Vincent "Bin-SENT!" it's so cute.
Love your baby girl...she is SOOOO cute!!!
Aww, you're so sweet (yes, jealousy and all) and I missed you! I've been here catching up on you and the kids and got this little mumble surprise shout out at the end. Thanks!
I love the profile photo, by the way. Very summery and care-free. Hmm...I might have said the exact same about the photo of you on the swing a while back.
I used to crack my knuckles and though people say it wasn't from doing that, I still swear it made them swell up. Now I have to get rings that fit around the knuckle and then sit a bit too loose around the finger. Intense guy's stories are way scarier though. Use those.
Glad you're counting your blessings about the saggy pants fad. That ish is ridiculous. They can't even walk cause they have to keep their pants up by spreading their legs. How's that comfortable??
my Doctor said it will lead to Arthritis in your knuckles. Whether it does or not???
We have a teenager...not sure success or not. No saggy pants, but lazy, secrets, doesnt want to participate in family stuff, shuts himself in room for hours...
Dont get me started in the how the "room" stinks to high heaven and beyond. I air it out every day when he leaves for school. Seriously? ugh
Strained ab muscle...ouch! take it easy lady. I still crack my knuckles so I am no help there. It's a bad habit that as far as I can tell only makes your knuckles bigger.
I love "special speak"
Oh, I'd have to threaten to beat it out of them... just kidding! But it drives me up the wall and makes my skin crawl that knuckle popping thing!!
And I love kids and their special words.
