Clearly, I have a reputation.
Hubs went out with one of our new(ish) friends from the area, a parent of a kid who has been playing ball with Turner. Mind you, I was already aware that the wife of this new(ish) friend is quiet, polite, and sweet. I stop short of calling her reserved because I don't want her to appear uptight. She's not uptight. At all. She's just not loud.
Like me.
Or, as her husband so eloquently asked Hubs, "So Jess is pretty...outspoken, huh?"
I asked Hubs if he defended me. If he acknowledged that, while I might speak my mind, it's never with obnoxious intent but instead with informative feedback. I'm pretty sure by his hemming and hawing that he did not.
I like that term, don't you? Informative feedback. Because we all know that some feedback....well, it's certainly NOT informative. Or needed. Or intelligent. And so what if my feedback comes in the form of "HEY YOU! THAT WAS....STUPID."
Okay, I don't really do that. But apparently my tone of voice is well-interpreted and accurately received most days. I say congrats to me. No need wasting time behind hidden "bitch" code, right?
I blame it on my Dad. He's the one who WILL yell "HEY YOU! THAT WAS....STUPID." But his would also be followed by an expletive as I duck behind a tree until people stopped looking.
Life is choppy at best. It doesn't let you cut corners without taking a sharp knock at the knee. And it still goes 'round even if it's not always smooth sailing.

Vacation Ramblings
How are you, my pretties??? Me? Can't complain. I am once again down in the Florida sunshine to visit my brother and sister-in-law. I came down here back in 2009 with Turner and my mom, with the purpose of vacation and Disney. This time, the purpose was meeting my first (and possibly only) nephew, who is 4 weeks old today.
Cute. And tiny, compared to his big, ornery, noisy cousin Evelyn. MAN, is she obnoxious and bossy. Never mind her bossiness comes in the form of "aahhhg! baaahhhh! baaaahhhhmmmaaaa! baaaa!" They have a dog. Poor dog. Bossed around and led astray by little miss Evie.
She came because she flies for free. The others stayed back because I wanted to pretend that I am on vacation. You can't REALLY relax away from home until the children are completely able to wipe their own ass and maybe fix snacks for themselves. Never mind the fact that she still thinks she needs to be on the boob.
Let me catch you up on a few things.
1. I don't believe my computer is fixed yet. I've not asked.
2. Turner is a rock star little t-ball/coach pitch player, even if he doesn't like it. I like watching him, so he will continue.
3. It's weird to call my brother a daddy.
4. Owen told Hubs he loved him, and then he told me he loved me, and then he said, "And I love Grandpa......because he doesn't scream at me and say NAP TIME."
5. I called my Miami Beach friend and we met in the middle today at a smaller beach. Lovely day.
6. I have been watching the Bachelorette and I think she's awful. I mean, she's a nice girl but awful with men. It's no wonder she's still single. Serious insecurity issues. I feel bad for her. For those who are watching, I like Ben C. the lawyer and J.P.
Toodles for now...I should go watch Wipeout. Or try and help with the crying baby. Hmmm.....decisions.

Library Lulls
My time spent on the computer away from work continues to dwindle.
Would it be horrible if I put a mini pencil through the eyeballs of a most likely junior high girl? She's across the table from me, eating like a HUGE COW. OMG, I cannot STAND listening to people eat or chew gum. At first, I thought it was gum, but NO...when I heard her unwrap something, I realized she's eating pieces of chocolate and slurping and chomping them. I might die if I have to continue coming to a public place for this.
But no worries. There's another person just to my left who is popping away at their gum. All bases covered.
Winter has left us, and I'm hoping spring is on its way out. Love me some summer! And with Evie on the weaning stages....I finally get to think about running! Just weeks away now....I'd be jumping for joy if I weren't in the library.
Our neighbor has continued to make visits to Hubs, and I occasionally sit in on the discussions. I've found a lot of the talk interesting with thoughts that are challenging to consider. And that's just the normal God stuff, not the specific Jehovah's Witness beliefs. I do know that I continue to try and remember to act in a way that is pleasing, and that means in hindsight, will I be pleased with my actions? I cannot begin to imagine any God would be pleased if even I cannot be. Baby steps.
I cannot wait to catch up with April on her Bachelorette thoughts. Anyone else watching that nuttiness? And of course SYTYCD is back on....a display of muscles, in any form, can't be bad. Except for professional weight lifting. Gross.
Lovelies, I hope you've been well. Leave me a good note in your comments telling me something fantastic you've done or seen or said in the last few weeks. Anything. I just want to hear how your days have been, anecdotes, silly stories. Toodles for now....
