I am trying to type with a little peanut head girl leaning on my forehead. She's literally putting all her weight on my head and shoulder and giggling....
.....she must love the fact that I'm home at 1pm on a Friday...and typing on a computer!
Don't get excited. I'm just using Till's personal computer that I always refrained from using before. He saved up his own money and purchased it himself over a year ago, and I never wanted to impose my addiction on his personal property.
I'm like that, though. If they're given something in celebration or purchased it themselves, I make sure it's THEIRS. Even something as small and replaceable as an apple in the Christmas stocking. We once had an inadvertent eating of the wrong apple, and we made a vow (and educated Hubs) not to let things like that happen again. It gives them pride and a sense of gratefulness in things that they receive, and they appreciate them more. At least it's working out that way. I really only imposed the rule because I don't like to share food.
There is headway on the computer front though. My girlfriend and I were texting last night and she let me know that her hubby made mention (at that very moment) that he was working on my computer. AND that he was "dedicated" to it. Rock on, friends, rock on. I love them.
Hey peeps - did I happen to mention I applied and was offered a new role at my company??? Yup, I am in a new department! Been there for 2 weeks, and couldn't be happier. Learning new things, an entirely different perspective of banking than what I've had before, and my new group seems genuinely excited to be doing their jobs. They're dedicated, too, you could say. But to promoting a positive environment, a culture of acceptance and learning and growing. I'm too excited. TOO.
Okay, this little peanut head girl wants to play. She stepped in front of the keyboard as a gesture. I'm off to enjoy my Friday afternoon and weekend. Love to you all!!
