Wisdom by Owen

Turner: What is that, Mom?

Mom: Mama got herself some new underwear.

Turner: Oh. I thought it was something for Evelyn because of the pink on top.

Mom: Nope! It's something for ME!

(long pause as I take them out of the package)

Owen: Uh, they look too small for you, Mom.

(Turner whispered, "Owen!!!! We don't say things like that to Mommy.")

LOL!!! Leave it to our children to keep things in perspective!! I can't count how many times Naenah has said something like this in a very honest(not trying to make you depressed Mom) way.

Is it sad that I envy their ability to say stuff like this and get away with it?
